Zimmer ThermoPro - A modern shortwave therapy system
Short wave therapy is an electrotherapeutic method that generates heat in the tissue using high-frequency electrical current.
In short wave therapy, electrical energy is converted into thermal energy directly in the tissue.
The high-frequency electromagnetic field generates eddy currents in the treated tissues, which lead to molecular excitations and therefore the conversion of electrical energy into thermal energy.
